 Mama Jess is dedicated to sourcing the best organic ingredients and working with responsible suppliers.

Organic produce is grown in healthy, living soil, free of pesticides, chemical fertilizers, herbicides or preservatives. Vegetables like tomatoes and potatoes are often on the “dirty dozen” list, meaning they contain the most pesticides when grown on non-organic farms.

Mama Jess uses organic ingredients to help you reap the most nutrition possible from our pasta sauces and products.

The perfect veggie: sweet potatoes.
Perhaps not the first ingredient to come to mind when you think about pasta sauce, the natural sweetness and nutrition of sweet potatoes are the perfect match for Mama Jess Organic Pasta Sauces. These brightly colored vegetables were named the perfect veggie in 2010 because they are so well rounded.

White beans

Bringing in beans. An underappreciated food, beans are an excellent source of protein, fiber and complex carbohydrates. Pureed specially for Mama Jess, the Bean Puree is made from all organic white beans grown in the Midwest.


Clean Eating. We recently took our sauces to the next level of clean by removing Citric Acid. Citric Acid can often be made from genetically modified sources, so to be sure we never had any confusion, we replaced it with the delicious tang of Apple Cider Vinegar. It matters us and we hope you care too!
