This week we are putting Mama Jess twist on this recipe posted by @alifefromscratch on Instagram. This crockpot pizza chicken is everything you need after a long day of homeschooling during this quarantine! Just a few ingredients and throw it in the crockpot for a few hours and POOF dinner is served (though we recommend it with some roasted broccoli or Brussels sprouts!). Not to mention, your entire home will smell like a pizzeria for a few hours as the cheese bubbles and the chicken tenderizes. We only put pepperoni on top but you could also add spinach, browned ground sausage, and more of your favorite toppings! Enjoy this recipe made with pantry staples…and...

Healthier Paleo Chocolate Chip Cookies

I don’t know about you, Mamas, but I have been finding a little too much comfort in baking lately. Bread, muffins, scones, cookies, a cake from scratch…you name it and it is on our counter in various containers right now. I love baking, but I really love baking when I am stressed or in need of comfort. Which has been often, lately, while stuck inside during this quarantine.  So I decided that if I am going to continue baking, I need to find healthier versions of what I am making just so I don’t only consume sugar. These healthier chocolate chip cookies, inspired by Rachel Mansfield, are paleo with a vegan option. I was a bit tentative at...

Hey Mamas, during this challenging time, we hope that you are hanging strong, enjoying some extra family time, and spreading love. We are going to do our part to keep bringing you easy, nutritious, and delicious recipes weekly to help you get through this. We are in this together! That being said, I took a deep dive into my pantry this week and came up with this vegetarian chili recipe (thanks to lentils being on sale at the grocery store last week!). It is protein-packed thanks to the legumes, has a burst of sweet thanks to the sweet corn and a touch of brown sugar (optional), and it includes our favorite ingredient: Mama Jess Garden Organic Pasta Sauce. Enjoy this...

Sweet Potato Gnocchi Pasta Dinner

Posted by on Mar 12, 2020 in blog | Comments Off on Sweet Potato Gnocchi Pasta Dinner

It’s been a busy start to spring! And during days like these, I am always tempted to take the easy way out of dinner with a quick drive-thru run, takeout order, or a frozen pizza. That is why I love 30-minute meals, especially ones that include two servings of veggies PLUS the veggies blended into our Mama Jess Garden Organic Pasta Sauce! I used the Trader Joe’s sweet potato gnocchi, but the cauliflower gnocchi (or regular) would be great too. You can also add in browned sausage link slices, I just didn’t have any on hand so it’s the perfect #MeatlessMonday dinner as well. Enjoy this flavorful dinner dish and enjoy it even the next day for...

Fajita Crunchwraps

Behold: the ultimate all-in-one dinner, the new favorite for meal planning, the most fun your kids will have eating dinner all week…The Fajita Crunchwrap. Recently, I have become extremely interested in taking more control of the food that goes into my body. Less processed meals, more nutritious ingredients, and definitely controlling sugar intake. As part of that journey, I have been trying to figure out wholesome versions of typically less nutritious meals. It started with my favorite Chinese takeout meal, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and now I have moved onto a dish inspired by my favorite Taco Bell menu item: The Crunchwrap Supreme. It is similar to the...

One Skillet Spinach and Artichoke Salmon

Posted by on Feb 27, 2020 in blog | Comments Off on One Skillet Spinach and Artichoke Salmon

Spring may be a few weeks away…but we have yet to see much proof of that. In the meantime, I am continuing to find hearty, healthy, and simply delicious winter recipes that not only fill our bellies but also our home with the most amazing aromas. This One Skillet Spinach and Artichoke Salmon is the perfect example of all of the above. Plus you guys have been loving our one skillet recipes like this one and this one so we thought we could continue the trend! What I love about this recipe: It is sort of like eating spinach artichoke dip for dinner, but substituting the heavy cream with coconut milk subtracts the guilt but leaves the rich creaminess! Simply simmer...
